The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Tuesday again pressed its demand to bring in measures to “free Hindu temples” from government control and said it would soon launch a nationwide campaign to achieve the goal.
The outfit has also demanded a judicial inquiry into the Tirupati laddoo controversy. “The Vishwa Hindu Parishad urges all governments to immediately free all temples from their illegal and immoral possession and hand them over to Hindu saints and devotees,” VHP joint general secretary Surendra Jain said. He added that the organisation would hold demonstrations to press for this demand.
