Where was political morality when PM was abused: Nadda

The BJP on Thursday fielded president JP Nadda to rebut a letter Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge wrote to the PM flagging ruling party leaders’ abuses directed at Rahul Gandhi.

BJP president JP Nadda’s reply to INC chief Kharge smacks of arrogance and clearly shows that since the PM could not even get himself to respond on this very serious issue, the attacks on Rahul have his full support.

In a strongly worded three-page rebuttal, Nadda asked Kharge, “Why he never mentioned political decorum when his colleagues hurled over 110 abuses on PM Modi?”

Listing abuses in the letter, Nadda said, “The only products being sold in Rahul Gandhi’s ‘mohabbat ki dukaan’ are the poison of casteism, seeds of animosity, spices of anti-nationalism, toxins of defamation and a hammer to break India up.”

Nadda took serial swipes at the Congress chief asking under what compulsion was he repeatedly “launching a failed product”. “What is your compulsion in defending a person whose history has been of one of abusing OBCs as thieves?” the BJP chief asked.

He recalled Sonia Gandhi’s “maut ka saudagar” remarks for the PM and said the Congress always glorified and promoted those who attacked Modi.

“The Congress and company have hurled over 110 abuses on PM Modi. Top Congress leaders have done this. Why do words like political morality, decorum, discipline vanish from your dictionary when the Congress abuses the PM?” Nadda asked, accusing Kharge of double standards.

He said no other political leader in India’s history had been insulted as much as Modi. “Why do you defend Rahul so much? Is it because he engages pro-Pakistan and anti-India forces; because he attends pro-terrorist events; because he asks foreign powers to intervene in India’s democracy?” Nadda asked.
