On World Wildlife Day on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a jungle safari ride in the Gir National Park, the abode of Asiatic lions.
Soon after the visit, the PM proceeded to chair a meeting of National Board for Wildlife at Sasan Gir.

Earlier in his message on the occasion, the PM tweeted, "Today, on #WorldWildlifeDay, let’s reiterate our commitment to protect and preserve the incredible biodiversity of our planet. Every species plays a vital role—let’s safeguard their future for generations to come!
