Did RCB's 'free passes' social media post before victory parade contribute to Bengaluru stampede?

At 3:14 pm on June 4 (Wednesday), RCB's official account on X posted an announcement confirming a "Victory Parade" scheduled to begin at 5 pm from the Vidhana Soudha to the Chinnaswamy Stadium, followed by a felicitation event inside the stadium.

The post included a link for free passes, declaring "limited entry" and requested fans to adhere to police guidelines.

The post read: Victory Parade will be followed by celebrations at the Chinnaswamy stadium. We request all fans to follow guidelines set by police and other authorities, so that everyone can enjoy the roadshow peacefully. Free passes (limited entry) available"

Reports say the management of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) could face official scrutiny over the social media post made just hours before the tragic stampede at the stadium that killed at least 11 people and left 52 injured.

Most of those injured in the stampede occurred outside the stadium were discharged from hospitals and a few still being treated are out of danger.

A Vydehi super specialty hospital source told PTI even though patients suffered minor injuries, some are still under shock, neurology department is keeping them under observation.
