Two Army soldiers have gone missing in the forest areas of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, prompting security forces to launch a massive search operation.
Army sources told The Tribune, that two Army men from the elite para forces had been missing since Tuesday night in Kokernag forests of Anantnag district and forces had been unable to establish contact with them.

“We have launched a search operation in the area and efforts are on to establish contact with the missing men,” said a source.
The two Army men were part of security forces teams who were present in the area as part of ongoing anti-terror operations. Army sources said it was “difficult” to say if the development was linked to militancy.
