KVK celebrates Women’s Day

The Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Samba, celebrated International Women’s Day at its head quarters in Samba. The programme was attended by Child Development Project officer, Samba, Kamla Devi. About 70 women farmers of the different villages of the district along with officials from different departments attended the programme. The programme was initiated by Dr Vinod Gupta, scientist and head of KVK who stressed that women were playing multi-dimensional roles in agriculture. He briefed the role of women in agriculture in doubling the farm-women income. Dr Shalini Khajuria highlighted the theme of International Women’s Day.
