To facilitate the speedy disposal of cases pending for want of accused persons who were absconding for long, directions were passed on to all subordinate units to constitute special teams and arrest all absconders and produce them before the court of law for immediate disposal of pending cases in the interest of speedy justice to the aggrieved. Giving details, Rajiv Pandey, SSP said, “Based on reliable information, a police party arrested the three absconders. — OC

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
