The police have arrested three thieves and recovered four stolen vehicles from their procession.

Acting on a complaint lodge by a person on February 25 at the Talab Tillo police post that some unknown person had stolen his Maruti car from outside his house.

The police rounded many suspects for investigation. Leads were developed and footage of CCTV cameras installed near the place of occurrence was taken, based on which Jashbir Singh, alias Sonu of Thanda Pani of Rajouri district, was arrested.

“Jasbir admitted to his involvement in the theft and a car was also recovered from his procession. On his disclosure, Rashpal Singh, alias Kaka, and Chain Singh of Khawas, Rajouri, at present living in Tawa Purkhu Camp, Jammu, were arrested in two different theft cases and three more vehicles were recovered. However, Chain Singh was given bail later,” the police said.
