Udhampur: The district police recovered approx 35 kg of contraband (charas-like substance) from two smugglers at Jakhani Chowk, Udhampur. Sharing the details, SSP Rajiv Pandey said a police party, led by Inspector Vijay Singh Choudhary, SHO, laid a naka near Jakhani Chowk, for checking vehicles. The police party stopped a vehicle and recovered approx 35 kg of charas-like substance from the two smugglers, who were arrested. They were identified as Zahoor Ahmed and Mudasar Ahmed, both residents of Srinagar. OC
