398 fresh cases in J&K, 22 in Ladakh

Jammu and Kashmir on Monday recorded 398 fresh Covid cases that took the UT’s tally to 84,031, while 11 deaths in the past 24 hours took the toll to 1,333, officials said.
Out of the fresh 398 cases, 159 are from the Jammu region and 239 from Kashmir. Jammu district reported the highest number of 113 new cases, followed by 106 in Srinagar district, the officials said.
There were 9,992 active Covid cases, while 72,706 patients had recovered so far. Meanwhile, 11 deaths took place in the past 24 hours in the UT — five in the Jammu region and six in the Valley — taking the death toll to 1,333, the officials said.
Leh: Ladakh reported 22 new Covid cases, taking the total count of patients to 5,081, an official bulletin said on Monday.
With 64 more patients cured of the disease, the number of active cases in the region dropped to 980 — 739 in Leh district and 241 in Kargil district, the bulletin released this morning by the Directorate of Health Services said.
Ladakh had recorded a total of 64 Covid-related deaths, while 4,037 patients have recovered from the disease till date.
Out of 22 new cases, the bulletin said 18 were detected in Leh and four in Kargil during the past 24 hours. — PTI
