Four boys were injured in a mysterious explosion in Kupwara district on Wednesday, officials said.

The explosion took place in Tutigund village of Handwara in north Kashmir district, where some children were playing cricket, they said.

The injured were identified as Uzair Tahir, Sajid Rashid, Hazim Shabir, and Zeyan Tahir, all local villagers.

They were taken to GMC Handwara for treatment, the officials added.
