Jammu, August 22

With 15 more deaths, four from the Jammu division and 11 from the Kashmir valley, during the past 24 hours, the Covid toll in J&K reached 608.

Fortyfive patients have lost their lives in the Jammu province, while 563 deaths have been reported from the Valley.

The UT recorded 610 new cases, 118 from the Jammu division and 492 from Kashmir, during the same period, taking the total number of virus cases to 31,981.

Meanwhile, 593 patients, 141 from the Jammu division and 452 from the Kashmir division, were cured and discharged from various hospitals across the UT.

According to the official bulletin issued on Saturday evening, out of the 31,981 positive cases, 6,975 were active positive, 24,398 recoveries and 608 deaths, 45 in the Jammu division and 563 in the Kashmir division.
