The Awantipora police, in collaboration with security forces, have arrested four terrorist associates linked to the proscribed terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) in the Tral area.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Mudasir Ahmad Naik, a resident of Tral Payeen; Umar Nazir Sheikh, a resident of Kuchmulla; Inayat Firdoos Rather, a resident of Tral Payeen; and Salman Nazir Lone, a resident of Kounserbal Tral. Incriminating materials have been recovered from their possession during the operation.

According to authorities, the arrested associates were involved in providing logistics support and transporting arms and ammunition to active JeM terrorists operating in the Tral and Awantipora areas.

An FIR under relevant sections of the law has been registered at the Tral police station, and further investigations are underway.
