The UT administration on Sunday facilitated the return of 97 Kashmiri residents who were stranded in Jammu city for the past one month due to the lockdown.
The stranded people left for Srinagar and Ganderbal districts through special SRTC buses from Sunjwan, Bathindi and Sidhra.
“Residents of Kashmir, stranded in Jammu, heading home. Administration committed to facilitating all,” Rohit Kansal, Principal Secretary (Planning and Information), wrote while sharing a video of stranded persons heading towards Kashmir.
“This process will continue for the next few days. Registration link or contact details have been made available on the website of Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, for families desirous to travelling from Jammu to Kashmir by bus,” an official spokesperson said.
