Administrative Secretary, Tourism, Culture, Housing & Urban Development Department, UT Ladakh, Sanjit Rodrigues, during his tour of Nubra Valley visited several villages, including Thang, Tyakshi, Turtuk, Bogdang, Skampuk and Hunder, to review ongoing works and assess developmental requirements.

During his visit to Hunder, he interacted with locals and visited Skalzang Maney and the ancient rock-cut statue of Maitreya Buddha. He listened to the concerns of villagers regarding the development of the area.

At Tyakshi and Thang, he inspected the ongoing construction of a parking facility and the development of the zero point area under the border tourism initiative, aimed at promoting these locations as vibrant tourist destinations.

He also visited the Turtuk Facilitation Centre and the ancient fort (Yabgo Museum) to review plans for its restoration. At Bogdang village, he inspected the proposed site for the development of amenities and the Khankah for improvement works.

Additionally, he visited the construction site of a well-equipped parking lot at Skampuk Maneykhang and interacted with the villagers of Skampuk to understand their concerns on local developmental issues.
