The Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Police have issued an advisory to minimise traffic congestion and ensure a smooth experience for devotees visiting Kali Mata Mandir, Bagh-e-Bahu, and Kandoli Mata, Nagrota, during the Navratri festival from October 3 to 12.

In a post on X, Jammu and Kashmir Police said, “General public in particular those visiting Kali Mata Mandir, Bagh-e- Bahu, Jammu, and Kandoli Mata, Nagrota, during the celebration of Holy Navratri festival for paying obeisance, advised to follow the particular route to reach the respective Temple to minimize the traffic pressure/ chaos of the approaching routes.” “During the Navratri period, there will be one-way vehicular traffic movement towards the Bagh- e-Bahu Temple to keep the Bahu Fort Route free from obstructions,” police added in the post.

During Navratri period, no vehicle will be allowed to move towards Bagh-e- Bahu via Bahu Fort Road, Jammu and Kashmir Police said.

The devotees and motorists are advised to follow the one way route strictly to keep the road free for movement of devotee vehicles without any obstacles, police said.

Parking slots have been also been specified for Bagh-e-Bahu Temple and Kandoli Mata Nagrota.

JMC Commissioner reviews preparations

Jammu Municipal Corporation Commissioner Devansh Yadav on Thursday visited Bawe Wali Mata temple at Bahu Fort to take stock of arrangements put in place for the devotees during the Navratri festivities.

During the visit, Yadav inspected various facilities, including sanitation, power and water supply besides all other provisions to accommodate the influx of devotees. He engaged with temple staff and local authorities to discuss logistical aspects, such as health, sanitation, besides availability of other basic services for the devotees.
