Niamatullah Khan, AEE, associated with the Prime Minister Gram Sadak Yojna (PMGSY), has been attached with the office of the ADC till pending inquiry.

As per Mohd Nazir Sheikh, DDC, the inquiry will be initiated by Sher Singh, ADC, and Mohd Zubair, PWD executive engineer. The team will submit the report within seven days so that the action under the J&K service conduct rules could be initiated.

“The review of PMGSY (for Darhal/Thanamandi) couldn’t be reviewed as the AEE concerned neither bothered to join meeting nor sought any permission from the controlling officer,” the order read.

It stated several complaints from the public were also received by the DDC against the AEE for delaying tactics in preparing the bills/reports, remaining invariably absent. “The non-cooperation by the AEE has put the public delivery services and image of the department at stake. Hence, the AEE has been suspended,” the order read. —OC
