In yet another spike in Covid cases, Ladakh on Saturday reported 92 new cases of the deadly virus, taking the number of cases to 718.

There was, however, some good news as 22 patients were cured and discharged from hospitals in the UT.

According to the Health Department officials of Ladakh, out of the total 718 active positive cases, there were 146 in Leh district and 572 in Kargil.

“Out of the total sample reports received, 24 samples were tested positive in Leh district, while 68 positive sample reports were of Kargil district. The Health Department sent 296 samples to the NCDC, New Delhi, for testing today,” officials said.
