The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) today claimed that in a joint operation with the local police, its personnel have recovered arms and ammunitions among other items in the Sadra Bagh forest area of Ganderbal district.

In a Twitter post, the CRPF said, “Rounds of AK-47, two magazines, loose 9 mm rounds, various other rounds and several hand grenades were recovered early in the morning by @crpf_srinagar with Ganderbal Police from Sadra Bagh forest area.”

Officials said the Special Operation Group (SOG) and CRPF’s 118 Battalion launched a search operation in Sarda Bagh forests and recovered the cache of ammunition from a hideout. They said a case had been registered in this regard and further investigation was being conducted.
