The Army on Wednesday organised a lecture on “Youth empowerment schemes in J&K” at Government Higher Secondary School, Majakote, in Rajouri district. The aim of the event was to encourage the youth to take advantage of various self-employment schemes run by the government for youth empowerment. The youth was encouraged to channelise their potential towards their development. The lecture was followed by an interactive session to answer various queries raised by the youth.

A seminar on “Realising the ethos of Indian Constitution” and a book launch programme of ”The RSS: Roadmaps for the 21st century” , authored by Sunil Ambekar, was organised by Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday. People from different section of society had attended the seminar, wherein Sunil Ambekar focused on the nature and basics of the Indian Constitution. He said human relations were the basis of Indian culture from thousands of years and it was these human relations that had made the constitution feasible for one and all.

Screening of ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’

To commemorate 72nd Army Day, Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu (JU), on Wednesday organised the screening of the movie, ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ for students, faculty members and officials of the university. Speaking on the occasion, Dean, Students Welfare, Prof Jasbir Singh asserted that whenever it came to the respect the valour of the Army, the zeal of university students was always high.
