Army organises national integration tour for school kids

The Ace of Spades Division, under the aegis of the White Knight Corps of the Army, has organized a national integration tour for school students from the Poonch and Rajouri regions from December 7 to 15.

An official statement said this initiative aims to foster national unity, and inspire young minds from the border districts by provide them exposure to India’s premier institutions.

During the tour, the students will visit Dehradun, where they will experience some of India’s most prestigious educational and administrative institutions. Key visits include the Governor House, Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), the Indian Military Academy (IMA) and the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), along with other renowned academic centres.

The tour will offer students first-hand insight into governance structures, civil services, military training, and emerging educational opportunities. It is designed to broaden their horizons, nurture leadership qualities, and motivate them to pursue careers in diverse fields such as civil services, defence and higher education.

This tour is a testament to the Army’s ongoing commitment to nation-building and youth development in the border regions. By providing exposure beyond their local environment, the Poonch Brigade aims to instil confidence, national pride and empowerment in the participating students.
