The Army’s 14 Corps that was raised after the Kargil conflict celebrated its 22nd raising day at Leh on Wednesday.

The corps is tasked with facing China on its eastern flank and Pakistan at the northwest. A wreath-laying ceremony was conducted at Leh War Memorial to honour the brave soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice during various operations in Ladakh. Lieutenant General PGK Menon, GoC of 14 Corps, laid the wreath. Since its raising, the corps has successfully ensured sanctity of both LoC and LAC. — TNS
