Suman Gupta, an internationally known realist artist of Jammu, has been invited to show his latest work on the life and teachings of Sikh saint Guru Nanak in a major group show in New Delhi. The show will start from November 24. Gallery Nvya is organising the month-long show titled ‘My Nanak’ to mark the 550th birth centenary of Guru Nanak. Birds and animals form an integral part of Gupta’s creation. The Sikh saint has been shown standing in a mystical twilight, looking towards the horizon with his hands folded and is surrounded by flora and fauna. — TNS
