Government Degree College, Kargil, has launched an intensified information, education and communication (IEC) campaign for HIV/AIDS, officials said on Tuesday.

A spokesperson said the event has been launched in collaboration with J&K Aids Control Society and Higher Education Department, Ladakh, during the two-day event—International Youth Day—on August 12 and 13.

“The college red ribbon committee had arranged different events during the two-day programme, which include volleyball competition, poster design competition on the first day and students’ open debate/ discussion session on HIV/AIDS and expert panel session on the concluding day,” the spokesperson said.
