Adverse weather conditions forced the closure of Leh Airport’s runway on Wednesday, leading to cancellation of several flights. Airlines, including Air India, SpiceJet and IndiGo, issued separate advisories informing passengers of disruptions on August 27.

The airline added, “If your booking is affected by this disruption, please contact your travel agent or reach out to our 24x7 contact centre on the following numbers to explore alternative flight options or to cancel your booking with full refund.”

SpiceJet said, “Flight operations to/from Leh (IXL), Jammu (IXJ), and Srinagar (SXR) dated 27th Aug’25 will be subject to weather clearance.”

IndiGo, in its advisory on X, wrote: “Unfavourable weather is holding back flights today in Leh. We are pausing our operations until the conditions allow us to fly you safely and comfortably. Please visit our website to explore rebook options or request a refund. Our teams are closely monitoring the weather and operations will resume once it is safe to do so.”

The Delhi Airport also issued a passenger advisory earlier in the day, saying: “Due to bad conditions in Leh, flight operations to the destination have been affected. We are working closely with all the stakeholders to support passengers and minimise inconvenience. For specific flight information, kindly contact the respective airline.”
