J&K Police have arrested four people in connection with a blind murder case in Baramulla district.

Police said on August 2, the police post in Palhallan received information about a murder and the deceased was later identified as Nasir Ahmad Ganaie, a resident of Pousnag Kreeri.

The police team carried out sustained investigation and succeeded in identifying four accused, identified as Gh Mohiuddin Ganie, Fatima Begum, Rubeena Bano, and Aadil Ahmad Ganie, all residents of Gundbal Pattan in Baramulla district.

“The investigation revealed that the accused hatched a conspiracy to kill Nasir on August 1. They strangulated him to death using a dupatta and later disposed of the body under the bridge,” the police said. The accused have been arrested and are currently under police custody. The police have also recovered vital evidence and further investigation is on.
