Earlier in December last year, the Supreme Court directed the Election Commission to conduct elections in Jammu and Kashmir by September 30.

“BJP has tremendous victory in the 2024 Lok Sabha election all over the country, including Jammu and Kashmir. After this splendid victory, the BJP has now started preparations for the J&K Assembly election. We want the Election Commission to announce the Assembly elections for J&K as soon as possible. The next government in the UT will be of the BJP,” Raina said in Kathua.

He further urged the Election Commission to announce the election dates for the Jammu and Kashmir poll.
