Senior BJP leader and National General Secretary Tarun Chugh on Friday targeted Lok Sabha MP Engineer Rashid with accusations of promoting “divisive politics” and playing a “counterproductive role in the region’s road to peace and development.” According to a statement, Chugh explained the BJP’s zero tolerance policy against terrorism, stating that his party was committed to peace in Jammu and Kashmir. “There will be no tolerance against terrorism. Our party is committed to peace, prosperity and progress of J&K,” he said.

The senior leader also lashed out at traditional parties, including Abdullahs and Muftis. “Abdullahs and Muftis have halted the state’s progress for decades. Now we have Engineer Rashid, who is no different. His politics has only worked to divide people, which has led to unrest,” he said.
