Reiterating demand for the restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, J&K Apni Party (JKAP) president Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari today said the people of both regions wanted protection of jobs and land.

“People of Jammu and Kashmir regions want protection for their jobs and land after the August 5, 2019 decision, both regions have suffered and they want the Centre to restore the statehood to J&K,” Bukhari said while addressing a group of youths who joined the party.

Those who joined the J&K Apni Party include Sahil Mahajan, son of senior Congress leader late Sneh Gupta and nephew of former Congress MP late Janak Raj Gupta.

Besides, Sidharth Dhar, Jagdish Raj, Sanjay Bhat, Mehraj Akbar, Ratul Gadroo, MP Thakur, Kuldeep Singh, Sanjay Khoura, Avinash Khajuria, Sunil Verma, Madan Manhas, Sanjay Banotra, and Ankur Sethi also joined the party.

“With enthusiasm among the youth, we will surely succeed in restoring the statehood of J&K,” he added. — TNS
