Two persons were killed and three others injured when a car hit a parapet on the Jammu–Poonch highway in Rajouri district on Wednesday, officials said.

The accident took place near the Chingus area when the car was on its way from Jammu to Rajouri.

The injured were admitted to the Government Medical College hospital in Rajouri.

The deceased were identified as Naik Singh and Muhammad Yaqoob.
