The annual sports meet of the Central University of Jammu — ‘Anant Khel-2025’—was held with enthusiasm from January 27 to 29 with participation of over 600 students and 100 faculty and staff across 19 sports events on the University Campus at Bagla Suchani.

The sports extravaganza concluded with the much awaited medal ceremony which was graced by Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo as chief guest today on the university campus.

In his address, Dulloo appreciated the emergence of Central University of Jammu as an institution of excellence and underscored the attributes of university life for the students. He highlighted the significance of the spirit of sportsmanship which makes a nation great.

Vice Chancellor Professor Sanjeev Jain shared his vision of making students of the Central University of Jammu physically fit, morally upright and a great asset for the nation. He advised the students to imbibe the true spirit of sportsmanship.

In the ceremony, 51 gold medals, 50 silver and 30 bronze medals were awarded by the Chief Secretary in the individual and team event.

The newly introduced Vice-Chancellor’s trophy for overall best performance was won by the School of Education of the University.
