In this context, Lieutenant-Governor Girish Chandra Murmu interacted with Chief Information Commissioner (CIC) Bimal Julka through a videoconference and discussed the transfer of pending complaints and appeals from the erstwhile J&K Information Commission to the Central Information Commission, New Delhi.

During the interaction, it was given out that all complainants and appellants could visit the NIC in their district for the proceedings.

A threadbare discussion was held on the transfer of all files, complaints and appeals pending with the erstwhile J&K Information Commission to the CIC, New Delhi. The Lt Governor assured the CIC that the same would reach the CIC office within a week. — TNS
