Russia and India have a “common concern” that the Afghan soil should not be a source of spreading terrorism and there is a “danger” of terror being spread to the Russian territory as well as Kashmir, Moscow’s envoy Nikolay Kudashev said on Monday.

“As far as the phenomena of terror are concerned, we do share our concerns with India. There is a danger of terror being spread to the Russian territory and the territory of Kashmir. This is a matter of common concern,” Kudashev said.

The Russian ambassador to India also said that there was not much difference between Russia and India’s position on the overall Afghan situation and noted that Moscow’s approach in according recognition to a Taliban regime would depend on its actions. — PTI
