Srinagar, June 10

Director General of Police Dilbag Singh on Wednesday called for extra vigil by the police and Central Armed Police Forces to foil Pakistan’s designs to end terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir once and for all.

Interacting with police officers and other ranks after inaugurating a cargo building in Srinagar, he said: “J&K must see an end to terrorism which has brought end endless pain and destruction to the people of this beautiful place. The J&K Police along with Army and CAPFs is working in that direction tirelessly.”

The DGP, who was accompanied by the Inspector General of Kashmir, inaugurated a newly constructed mess-cum-barrack block at Police Component (Cargo), Shergarhi, Srinagar.

Superintendent of Police, Cargo, Tahir Ashraf and other officers and men were present on the occasion.

The DGP complimented various police districts and units who along with the Army and the CRPF had carried out successful operations against terrorists, who as per the agenda of their Pakistan handlers and agencies to keep this place in turmoil and people in agony were responsible for the killing of innocent locals and attacks on security forces involved in maintaining and strengthening peaceful environment.
