Divisional Commissioner Sanjeev Verma today directed the district administration Reasi and Ramban to resolve all pending land acquisition cases of the USBRL project and Nashri to Banihal (national highway) at the earliest.
He passed these directions while reviewing progress on land cases of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla rail link and Nashri to Banihal NH.
A detailed discussion was held on various land issues related to both the projects. Verma sought details of the land acquisition cases, structure removal cases, tree-cutting, disbursement of compensation in Reasi district and Ramban. The ADC Reasi and Ramban informed about the progress on each case, status of tree-felling and other issues.
It was further informed that in Reasi district, almost all cases had been resolved and final awards had been issued and the disbursement of compensation amount to land owners was in progress.
Verma directed both district administrations to resolve the land acquisition cases, structure removal and disbursement of compensation to the beneficiaries and other bottlenecks for the smooth execution of work on both prestigious projects for their timely completion.
