A documentary titled, Kargil 1999: The Untold Story of the Indian Air Force, is set to premiere on DocuBay on August 15.

As IAF veterans and officials recount their experiences, the documentary takes the viewer behind the scenes of ‘Operation Safed Sagar’, the name given to the IAF operations during the conflict.

It will offer a unique perspective on the Kargil conflict as the it features first-hand accounts from former like IAF Chief’s Air Chief Marshal AY Tipnis and Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanoa. Air Marshal Padamjit Singh Ahluwalia, Air Marshal Narmdeshwar Tiwari, and Group Captain K Nachiketa will also feature in it. Group Captain Nachiketa’s plane had been shot down. He ejected and landed in Pakistan from where he was repatriated. — TNS
