An encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in the Sopore area on Sunday, officials here said. The encounter started after terrorists opened fire at security forces during a search operation in Zaloora Gujjarpati in Sopore police district, they said. According to the officials, there are no reports of any casualties in the operation so far.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
