The chairman of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Kargil, on Monday inaugurated a five-day multi super-speciality medical camp in Kargil.

An official spokesperson said the camp is organised by LAHDC, Kargil, in collaboration with the district administration and Ashoka Mission. Doctors from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi, and Safdarjung Hospital, Delhi, will be attending to patients at the Kargil district hospital.

“We are proud to host distinguished doctors from such prestigious institutions in Kargil,” Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, chairman, LAHDC said. He also highlighted the need for special training for Ladakh’s doctors at AIIMS ans also urged the visiting doctors to provide special attention to the people of Ladakh when they visit AIIMS, Delhi.
