Director General of Police Dilbag Singh has said all security forces in Kashmir were working in “perfect harmony on a strategy to defeat all designs of Pakistan”.
The police and other wings of the security forces have devised a strategy to maintain peace in the hinterland and foil the infiltration bids from across the Line of Control.

The DGP said: “Pakistan’s designs to disturb peace in Kashmir are clear to us and we have the strategy to counter and defeat these as the synergy between the forces has resulted in a host of successful counter-terrorism operations in recent weeks.”
He particularly referred to the elimination of the Hizbul Mujahideen operational commander and most-wanted terrorist of the times, Riyaz Naikoo, in one such operation.
In a series of meetings with Lt Gen YK Joshi, Northern Command chief, Lt Gen BS Raju, 15 Corps commander, Special Director General, CRPF, Zulfikar and other officers of the police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), the DGP said the foremost task was to comprehend the designs of Pakistan to stoke an unrest in Kashmir and disturb peace in the region.
Pakistan, he said, was using extensively two types of tactics — increased infiltration bids from across the LoC and amplified propaganda in the cyber world.
“Our synergy is our strength,” Dilbag told officers and men in the central Kashmir district. He said the synergy level should be effective at the level of the Station House Officers and their counterparts in the CAPFs.
He also attended a high-level meeting in New Delhi, where he gave a presentation about the security situation in J&K and how the police in perfect coordination with other wings of the security forces were engaged in fighting terrorism.
He also talked about how the policemen were working as a frontline force against the pandemic in J&K.
