As a part of the ongoing ‘National Road Safety Month’, a free medical camp for physical and eye check-up of drivers, conductors and general public was organised at the Community Health Center in Khaltse on Monday.

The camp was organised by Block Medical Officer, CHC Khaltse, Dr Yangchan Dolma.

During the camp, a number of local and non-local drivers, conductors and the general public were screened at the camp. People availed the facilities like eye check-up for colour-blindness, defect in eye sight, test to check BP, diabetes and haemoglobin.

Surgeon from Community Health Center, Khaltse, Dr Feroz Ahmad, informed that the aim of organising the camp is to spread awareness among drivers about significance of personal health for welfare of society. He also gave first-aid training to the participants.

Doctors and paramedical staff of CHC Khaltse were present during the camp.
