National Highway and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) on Monday said the connectivity of the Z-Morh tunnel, dug from two sides through the rocky hills of Kashmir to link Srinagar with Sonmarg, has been established.

NHIDCL Executive Director Gurjeet Singh Kambo said Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari would drive through the tunnel on Tuesday as a symbolic inauguration. The tunnel will be officially thrown open to the public in December 2023, he informed. Gadkari will review the progress of the project. — TNS
