Jammu, November 20
A 10-day coaching workshop for the Graduate Aptitude Test Engineering (GATE)-2020 is being organised for candidates of Kishtwar from Oct 18 to Oct 27. The programme, first of its kind in J&K, is being organised and sponsored by the Chenab Valley Power Projects (CVPPPL), specifically to prepare the candidates from Kishtwar.
The CVPPPL has roped in one of the best GATE-coaching institutes in J&K, M/s Pioneers Academy, to impart coaching to the candidates, which is being conducted by the IIT-Delhi this year.
To facilitate the candidates, the company is providing start-up kit comprising of bag, stationery and study material-consisting 15 text books to the candidates for the 10-day coaching workshop. The expenditure towards coaching fee, study material and working lunch to the students etc are being borne by the CVPPPL.
The CVPPPL has taken up various initiatives in the past as well for the welfare of the people of Kishtwar that include financial assistance of Rs 33 lakh per displaced family, contribution of 1 per cent revenue from the generation of power towards the Local Area Development fund, scholarships for the project affected families children, fishing rights in reservoir for PAFs and skill development initiatives.
