A fire broke out in a generator spare parts shop in Last Morh area of Jammu late on Friday evening. As per information, the fire was detected at around 9 pm after which the fire brigade was informed that reached the area at 9.30 pm.

Virender Magotra, the proprietor of the shop, Everest Traders, said the fire engulfed the store, where parts of generators and pump sets were stored.

He claimed that bill books, purchase bills and GST returns of past 10 years were also destroyed in the fire. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
