Girls outclassed boys by securing a pass percentage of 72 as the J&K Board of School Education (JKBOSE) today declared the much-awaited result of the Secondary School (Class X) Examination Annual Regular-2020 of Summer Zone (Jammu Province).

Of the total 53,807 candidates who appeared in the examination, 37,458 qualified it, while 16,222 failed to do so. The overall pass percentage was 70.

As many as 3,465 students got A1 grade, 4,999 got A2 grade, 6,033 students got B1 grade, 7,549 students got B2 grade, 8,469 students got C1, 6,229 students got C2 grade and 723 students got D grade. Of the total 53,807 candidates who appeared in the Class X exam, 29,487 were boys, while girls’ strength was 24,320. — TNS
