The J&K Congress on Thursday regretted that the BJP-led government at the Centre failed to counter nefarious designs of China in Ladakh, resulting in the martyrdom of soldiers on the LAC.

Addressing a function to pay tributes to the martyred soldiers at the party headquarters in Jammu, Congress leaders said the whole nation was standing behind the brave soldiers at this crucial time. They, however, regretted that the government could not anticipate the nefarious designs of China and failed to take necessary precautions.

“The entire country is standing solidly behind our forces and the government to deal with challenge and also retrieve every inch of the territory of our country recently occupied by China,” they said, adding, “The martyrdom of our jawans would not go waste as assured by the Prime Minister and their sacrifices would be always remembered by the countrymen.”

Senior leaders of the party, including Raman Bhalla, Ravinder Sharma, Kanta Bhan, Yogesh Sawhney and Manmohan Singh, paid tributes to the martyrs.
