With India launching operation Sindoor” hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan has violated ceasefire violations at Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir.

“Pakistan again violates the Ceasefire Agreement by firing Artillery in Bhimber Gali in Poonch- Rajouri area,” Army said on X.

It added, “Indian Army is responding appropriately in a calibrated manner.”

Locals at Line of Control in Kashmir said heavy shelling started after 1 am.

“Heavy shelling is going on…we have taken shelters in bunkers,” a resident of Tanghdhar in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district told The Tribune.

For the last 12 days, there have been mostly small arm fires at Line of Control after last month’s Pahalgam attack which killed 26 people.

Early Wednesday morning, the Defense Ministry said the Indian Armed Forces launched ‘OPERATION SINDOOR’, hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed.

“Altogether, nine (9) sites have been targeted,” it said.
