IIM-Jammu secures two global accreditations

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Jammu, has secured two prestigious international accreditations, including Business Graduates Association (BGA) and European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), within a single year.

Addressing a press conference, IIM Jammu Director Prof BS Sahay said, “In what can only be described as a golden chapter in the institution’s evolution, IIM Jammu has accomplished a feat few in the nation can claim: the rare distinction of securing not one, but two of the most coveted international accreditations,” he said.

He said by becoming one of only five IIMs in the nation to do so, the institution has carved its name in bold and enduring letters in the chronicles of Indian higher education. “It now stands not merely as a symbol of excellence, but as a living example of what inspired leadership, unified purpose and unwavering determination can accomplish in the pursuit of national pride and global distinction. IIM Jammu’s ascent is a celebration of what is possible when vision meets action, and when an institution dares to dream beyond convention to shape a future worthy of its aspirations,” he told reporters.

The Director said the journey toward international recognition began on a promising note in January 2025, when IIM Jammu welcomed a Peer Review Team (PRT) from the Business Graduates Association (BGA), operating under the esteemed Association of MBAs (AMBA), London.

Over the course of several days, the PRT engaged in a comprehensive 360-degree evaluation, meeting with a wide spectrum of stakeholders including the director, deans, programme chairs, faculty members, alumni, students, and corporate recruiters.

In March this year, a PRT from EFMD visited the campus and evaluated the institution’s performance.
