The district police held an interactive meeting with next of kin of martyrs and retired police officials at the District Police Lines, Udhampur, which was chaired by Rajiv Pandey, SSP, accompanied by Himat Singh, Deputy SP, DAR, here on Wednesday.

They were assured all help from the district/PHQ level for welfare-related matters. They were also made aware about various welfare measures for the families of police martyrs and assurance was given regarding further help to the wards of martyrs to pursue their studies.

While addressing retired police officials, the SSP highlighted and acknowledged the services rendered by retired police personnel in the service of the nation.

During the meeting, various grievances were raised by the participants, who were assured by the SSP that their issues would be taken up at appropriate level for redress.
