An Iran-returned pilgrim from Leh district was today tested positive for Covid-19, taking the total number of active positive cases in Ladakh to 21.

According to the UT administration’s media bulletin, the sample report of the Iran returnee from Leh district tested positive for Covid-19. Now, there are a total of 21 active positive cases in Ladakh — 19 in Leh and two in Kargil district.

“The condition of all 21 active Covid-19 cases of Ladakh is stable,” the media bulletin said.

On Wednesday, 72 samples were sent to the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), New Delhi, for testing. Out of these, 52 samples were of Leh district and 20 of Kargil district.
