The Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST) on Monday inaugurated a three-day orientation programme being organised from September 2 to September 4 on the campus.

The event aimed to welcome and guide new students from various departments, including the school of engineering, postgraduate programmes, and four-year undergraduate programmes (FYUGP), the university said in a statement.

It said the programme was inaugurated by Prof Ayaz Hassan Moon, Dean of Academic Affairs, who welcomed the students.

Moon said that the orientation programme is designed to ensure that the students are well-prepared to navigate their academic journey at IUST. During the programme, the students interacted with Dean of Students, Director of IT&SS and Controller of Examinations, and other officials including Proctor, Hostel Provost, Assistant Director of Sports, Coordinator of Placements, Librarian, and ABC Coordinator.

The orientation programme, which will cater to about 1,500 students over three days, will conclude with department-wise visits coordinated by the respective Heads.
